Hey Loves,

I know it’s been some times but life happened and I had to take some time off to get back on track. Although, I still won’t be able to post as much, I wanted to stop by and update you guys on school.

Well, I have great news!!!! I am officially down to the end of this journey. I start practicum next week and will be done end of August #superexcited. Sooo What I have been up to? I had some issues and ended up staying a term longer than expected but everything happens for a reason and I’m happy with where I’m at currently.Β In the meantime, my school allowed Β me to challenge the LPN exam and I thought why not, so I took the exam and after reviewing for only two days I successfully passed with 85 questions. I was very happy about that because I now have an idea on what to expect for the NCLEX-RN, which I should be taking in September depending on how fast the state send me authorization to test. I can also work as a practical nurse and make decent money while awaiting testing, so it’s a win win all around.

I got the practicum site and will most likely be on a cardiac unit. I wanted to do it on the unit where I currently work (NICU), but it would be too much of a drive so I opted for a closer hospital and they only allow students on the cardiac floor. At first, I wasn’t too happy about the unit but then I remember how much I enjoy learning about cardiac and it’s one of the contents that I truly understand in school so I should do just fine. I’m also going into practicum with a 3.7 which makes me super happy because graduating with honors has been one of my goals from day one. Maybe now you understand why I’ve been missing in action lol

I’m nervous but excited at the same time. I’m looking forward to being done and move on to the next chapter of life….

Until next time
